It Is Certainly True That People Work B Essays
It Is Certainly True That People Work B Essays It Is Certainly True That People Work B Essay It Is Certainly True That People Work B Essay It is certainly true that people work because It Is evident that only money can buy bread and butter. Apart from earning livelihood, majority of people work to Increase their standard of living. But there are a lot of people who are either rich due to the wealth received from their ancestors or they become affluent by earning during their lifetime yet, they continue to work. Having Job has always been of paramount importance to a plethora of human beings all over the world throughout history. There is an argument among different people bout whether choosing parents Job is an apt method to have successful Job, or there would be some other appropriate Jobs to pursue. We all live in an artificial world where everyone is running for money. We feel that money is very important part in our life. People do work to earn money, but Is that only reason that one works. There are also some other underlying cause which play a key role for one to work. First let us try to find what are other things apart money which keeps others engaged In work. There may be different priority for different people In life and thus they expect different things from their work. Overall everyone needs a satisfaction from their job, and this satisfaction does not come merely by money. People look for work after completing school. We need money to support our lives when we grow up and live independently. But we do not work only to make money. There are two reasons why people want to work. People work in order that we can pursue our dreams. For example, people who have a dream of being a soccer player make their dream come true by working as a professional player. Money Is Important to lead life but It Is not everything. In my opinion there are many other important reasons to work other than money. Satisfaction of the worker, social prestige and respect, stress free job are some other important reasons for people to work. In fact, when you ask people why they work, a lot of them will say they are only in it for money. When you work for money, you can be financially independent, and have some control over your life. Sometimes money truly is the only reason a person work . But most people have more substantial and important reasons for working . R example, they like to spend their days doing something they are good at . They like being productive. Other people need their skills ,and they feel obliged to supply them -what If you didnt work and you had every day to yourself, you could choose to go to the ,go to the movies ,go shopping ,read books, vaults friends ,visit places of interest go out for meals play sport . These are wonderful ,but you wo uld need at last some money to 00 most AT tense things. Ana IT you nave money relaxing and doing what you please is a great for holiday, but after a while the leisure will decrease and you will feel aimless and bored. In the modern society, almost every citizen has to work, there are always traffic Jams during the rush hour. Some people work at a company, as a manager or as a employee. Some people open their own shop and run business; others may work for people, such as sellers, teacher, or doctor. I think that everyone must have their unique reason for working. Most of the people must work because they have a family to support and their earning may only can meet the ends so they might work even reader to try to get a raise in the salary or even do part-time Jobs. People work, because they need money, have expenses and necessity to sustain themselves. Let looks that way on a first site and may be it is true for some people, but for me the reasons for one to work are many and various. Man is a social creature,he needs a social media to live a normal live and feel comfortable and the working place is such an environment where people could find social contacts and be the part of a team. Working give them a comfort of somebody who is feeling useful because he is creating something every day of his live.

The Facts About the Chinese Moon Festival
The Facts About the Chinese Moon Festival If youre planning to attend a Chinese Moon Festival or simply want to know more about a festival youve previously attended, this review will better acquaint you with the origins of the festival, the traditional foods associated with it and the different ways its celebrated. This festival is one of many observed inà China, which is home to a number ofà traditional celebrations.à Also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Chinese Moon Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. Its one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese.à The Legend Behind the Fest The Moon Festival is rooted in many different myths. Legend traces the story to a hero named Hou Yi, who lived during a time when there were 10 suns in the sky. This caused people to die, so Hou Yi shot down nine of the suns and was given an elixir by the Queen of Heaven to make him immortal.à But Hou Yi didnt drink the elixir because he wanted to remain with his wife, Change (pronounced Chung-err). So, he told herà to watch over the potion. One day a student of Hou Yi tried to steal the elixir from her, and Change drank it to foil his plans. Afterward, ââ¬â¹she flew to the moon, and people have prayed to her for fortune ever since. Shes presented with a variety of food offerings during the Moon Fest, and festival-goers swear that they can spot Change dancing on theà moon during the festival.à What Happens During the Celebration The Moon Festival is also an occasion for family reunions. When the full moon rises, families get together to watch the full moon, eat moon cakesà and sing moon poems. Together, the full moon, the legend, the family gatherings and the poems recited during the event make the festival a great cultural observance. That is why the Chinese are so fond of the Moon Festival. Although the Moon Festival is a place where families congregate, it is also considered a romantic occasion. The festival legend, after all, is about a couple, Hou Yi and Change, who are madly in love and devoted to one another. Traditionally, lovers spent romantic nights at the event tasting delicious moon cake and drinking wine while watching the full moon. The moon cake, however, isnt just for couples. It is the ââ¬â¹traditionalà food consumed during the Moon Festival. The Chinese eat the moon cake at night with the full moon in the sky.à When circumstances prevent couples from getting together during the event, they pass the night by watching the moon at the same time so it seems as ifà they are together for the night. A great number of poems has been devoted to this romantic festival.à As the Chinese have spread out across the globe, one neednt be in China to partake in the Moon Festival. Celebrations are held in countries that are home to large Chinese populations.

Economic race and gander Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Economic race and gander - Essay Example Other concern is whether they can fully rely on or trust their partners. Divorce rates were going up. Religious beliefs and broad social attitude were also among the reasons. The main reason for divorce is financial instability and insecurity of future etc., Unanticipated events, sudden job loss and liberalized state divorce loss were also reasons for increased rate of divorces. The divorce rates stood at 2.2 divorces per thousand population in 1960 and increased to 3.5 to 5.2 divorces per thousand population in 1980. Births to unmarried mothers is also on the raise because of economic independence and social security available to mothers. Co-habitation or living together has been accepted by the society. Individuals who never married co-habit prior to first marriage or after they have been divorced. Co-habitation often ends in marriage or breakup. Co-habitation between gay and lesbian couples are also on the increase. Whether to have children or how many to have is decided on the ec onomic opportunities. The changing economic opportunities affect the fertility decisions. As the women's wage raises the opportunity cost of the time they spend with children also increases. However, the preoccupation with their employment and social activities force them to postpone the pregnancies. The fertility rate at the year 1955 was much higher compared to the year 1955 was much higher compared to the year 1974. However, because of economic independence and better opportunities in employment there were marked increases in fertility rate of unmarried mothers starting in 1970s from 11 percent of all births to 28 percent in 1990. At 2005, 37 percent all births in US were to unmarried women. Dual earner families increase from 45 to 58 percent of all married couple families. Dual earner family or female headed family became more common rapidly replacing the traditional married couple family or the breadwinner husband and home-maker wife. Dual earner earns more income on average th an the single earner family. However, the maternal employment during first year of the child may negatively affect children's cognitive developments. Chapter 11 titled as "Polices affecting paid work and the family" focus on polices to alleviate poverty, government tax policies etc., This chapter examines major changes that occurred during last few years in the US welfare system. The expansion of EITC has played an important role in reducing poverty. In contracts to many tax credits which can benefit only households with income high enough to pay taxes in EITC the refundable feature of tax credit means that government provides a refund if the amount of the credit exceeds tax owed. The EITC transfers income to low income household. The employment outlook for welfare recipients tend s to be especially bleak because as a rule they have little education and fewer job skills. Peer Review Feedback Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Peer Review Feedback - Essay Example It drew my attention to the article. The opening line, ââ¬Å"I can remember the hunger I felt to obtain and share information as a childâ⬠, delivers the punch that is carried through in the opening paragraph. Another feature of your article is the detailed account of your various stages of transition presented in the work. Finally, I must say that you use simple words that make it easy to read and understand your work. Weaknesses The punch of the opening paragraphs is not felt in the later stages of the work. This reduces the attractiveness and readability of the work. There are two aspects here that I would like to point. The first is the style of writing makes the work appear disjointed. The flow is lacking. For example, you end one paragraph with ââ¬Å"during this time, I obtained my sonââ¬â¢s medical chart and reviewed it alone, and with health care professionals, while again using self taught research skills.â⬠The next paragraph starts with ââ¬Å"massage therapy career path, seemingly unrelated to the field of journalism, was full of more opportunities to collect information via research and interviewingâ⬠. There is lack of transition here. My last impression on weaknesses in the work is the lack of vivre le joi or the joy of living. You are dealing with a part of your life. I am sure you will agree that no life is worth without the essence of joy in it. It is not necessary to merely present the transition of your life as a set of data in research paper. Suggestions I do not feel I hold the privilege of making any suggestions for improving this work. Nevertheless, if may suggest there are three areas that I would address. The first aspect is reducing the size of the sentences. You use simple words, but the size of the sentences is large. The combination of simple words and simple sentences would make understanding of this work easy. I return to my criticism of the work for my next two suggestions. Use transition sentences between para graphs to help continuity in your work. The last suggestion lies in spicing up the work, such that you do convey joy in the life you led so far, and carry the hope that it goes further into your life. PORTFOLIO INTRODUCTION ââ¬â MARTA IZER I have limited experience in doing a peer review. Therefore, I do not believe that I have much to contribute to your portfolio introduction. In my opinion it is a lovely piece of work. I just loved it. In case my observations help to make this portfolio introduction of yours even better, I believe I am the fortunate one. Any contribution of mine to this work of yours would be superfluous, without repeating that it is a good piece of writing. Strengths Your portfolio introduction has been constructed well, and written in a manner that makes for pleasant reading. Going through the contents has only made me relive my childhood and the transitions that have occurred in my life. You have written in such a style that the reader will be left with a t inge of nostalgia of the years gone by. Another strength in your piece of writing is the simple language that you have used. Simple words constructed into simple sentences have made the reading of this piece of writing easy to read and easy to assimilate. The flow in your writing style is another strength. There is no abrupt change in the direction o your flow of information. One paragraph melds into the other, and so there is no sense of jarring in the reading of the work. Weaknesses Since I like the piece of work it has been difficult for me to identify

Pomacea insularum Pomacea insularum commonly known as the apple snail is a species of snail from the class Gastropoda. P. insularum are found in warm wetlands habitats. They are capable of fast growth rates and reproduce many offspring which increases their capability to quickly invade different ranges. Recently this species has been spreading through southern United States and altering the environments in which they are found. The Pomacea insularum species in round in shape and is usually brown, black, and yellowish tan. P. insularum may reach 150 mm in length or the size of an apple. Their offspring are large egg masses that are a bright pink color. Pomacea insularum look very similar to Pomacea canaliculata making it difficult to properly identify. To better control the invasive species P. insularum it is important to understand the native range, invasive range, and related species. The known native range of this species is Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil. The Apple Snail generally inhabit areas with slow moving or stagnant waters in lowland swamps, marshes, irrigation canals, streams, ponds, lakes and rivers. Currently the species is invading in several areas of the world including several countries in the Asian and European continents. Another continent that P. insularum is found in is North America specifically the southern United States. States that have the species are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Texas. The first sighting of P. insularum in many of these states were in the 2000ââ¬â¢s while in Texas the first sited was 1989. A study done by Howell surveyed 393 sites in Texas and P. insularum was found in 53 of the sites. The snail was found in low densities in ponds and streams but in agr... ...dling age from two to five weeks resulted in significant reductions in snail damage. Management of the apple snails may have to target the entire genus of Pomacea since there are so many invasive species of Pomacea in the United States. Forecasting the potential range of the Pomacea insularum is important for management of the species. Pomacea insularum lives in habits that are generally warm and composed of wetlands. Currently P. insularum is found in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Texas. These states all have areas that are warm and have wetlands. Under current climate conditions Pomacea insularum should not spread much farther through the United States. Along with the right climate P. insularum needs the waters to be ph that is greater than 5.5. If the ph levels are lower than this number the snailââ¬â¢s survival and persistence declines.

Family Is the Basic Unit of the Society
?Family is the basic unit of the society is the quotation I remembered on my high school days. it is the fundamental unit of the social institution whereby it is the common unit of the society. The social institution includes also the economy, religion, education, politics or government health care or medicine. The family is the basic unit of social institutions. The family unit has specific functions with relation to its members and to the total society. It is the most important social institution, serving as the means of transferring culture from one stage to another. Sharing of works among the members of the family is a strong influence in keeping the family together. Sometimes we are applying the word clan to a family or group of family that are related to each other. Family, basic social group united through bonds of kinship or marriage, present in all societies. Ideally, the family provides its members with protection, companionship, security, and socialization. The structure of the family and the needs that the family fulfils vary from society to society. The nuclear familyââ¬âtwo adults and their childrenââ¬âis the main unit in some societies. In others, it is a subordinate part of an extended family, which also consists of grandparents and other relatives. A third family unit is the single-parent family, in which children live with an unmarried, divorced, or widowed mother or father. You cannot call a family without the mother father and the child Family is the number one social institution in the society A group of closely related persons living under one roof; it is a convenience, often a necessity, sometimes a pleasure, sometimes the reverse; but who first exalted it as admirable, an almost religious ideal Personal relations are the important thing for ever and ever, and not this outer life of telegrams and anger.
